Oscar Johansen

Chairman, Seagull AS.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Seagull AS.

Graduated from the Marine Engineering College in Toensberg, Norway in 1978.

Served as marine engineer on oil tankers and gas carriers for Sig. Bergesen, Oslo 1974 - 1982.

Joined Norcontrol to participate in the development and marketing of their newly developed Engine Room simulators. Was responsible for marketing and sales of all Norcontrol maritime training simulators from 1984 to –87.

Was appointed Managing Director of Norcontrol Simulation in 1987 and managed the Norcontrol group of companies from 1988 to 1995.

Managed the Marine Division of Simrad ASA, Norway 1995 to 1997.

In 1996 he established Seagull AS together with financial partner Bjoern L.G. Braathen a company with which he still spends most of his time. Seagull AS has delivered training systems and training administration systems to some 9500 ships world-wide.

In addition to his duties for Seagull, Oscar serves as a non-executive director for a number of marine and IT based companies.
